From Restlessness To Surrender

My name is Sandesh Dessai. I am 35 and married. Before meeting Jesus Christ, I was arrogant, selfish, jealous, and caught in destructive habits. In 2002, my father met with an accident and fractured his leg. Complications followed, and years of struggle left me searching for answers. In 2005, a friend invited me to a prayer meeting. On the last day, as the preacher asked the Holy Spirit to touch us, I was touched by the Lord and heard the words, “I am with you, do not be afraid.” God began changing me from the inside. Later, after losing my job in 2010 and searching again for answers, I saw Pastor Michael of Awake Ministries preaching about Jesus on television. I went to the prayer meeting and prayed for God to touch me and answer me. As the meeting started, the power of the Holy Spirit gripped me and I was completely in God’s presence.
